Upper School Photography Teacher
Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Upper School Photography Teacher. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher with knowledge of and practice in darkroom and digital photography, varied assessment methods and tools, and student-centered pedagogy. Qualified applicants will bring experience teaching at the upper school level, differentiating instruction for a wide range of learners in our diverse school community and managing state-of-the-art technology in our new digital media lab. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for teaching darkroom and digital photography and their historical and contemporary touchpoints; talent for working with diverse students, families, and colleagues; dedication to ongoing professional growth; and high levels of professionalism.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Teaching:
- Teach four sections of Upper School Photography
- Help maintain technology and equipment in a state-of-the art digital media lab with support of Poly’s Technology Department
- Develop and amend curricula that engage students with the visual world, evolving technology, questions of narrative and identity, and more
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date online gradebook, effectively and supportively communicate with students and families in a timely manner, and provide written and oral feedback on student progress
- Work with students on an individual basis, as need be
Additional Responsibilities:
- Advise a club and affinity group
- Demonstrate energetic commitment to professional development
- Attend and actively contribute to meetings during and after the school day, including but not limited to department, committee, division, and grade-level meetings
- Participate in school events throughout the school year
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of School
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Masters Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education or relevant area
Experience: Three years teaching experience in digital and darkroom photography
Specific Skills: Ability to use, help maintain, and steward technology related to digital and darkroom photography
Salary Range: $69,045 - $100,723
