Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Substitute Teacher for our Middle and Upper Schools. The Substitute Teacher will be hired on a daily basis as needed to help to maintain a productive, organized, and warm work environment for our students in the absence of their regular teacher(s). We seek candidates who are eager to engage students with patience, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a sense of humor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Teaching: 

• Support the academic program by covering classes in a teacher’s absence
• Carefully follow all teacher instructions
• Provide an account of the classroom experience as needed
• Supervise study hall periods
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Heads of Middle and Upper Schools and the Assistant Head of School for Academics

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Help students transition and move from one activity to another
• Supervise lunch distribution as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Experience: None

Requirement: All employees must be fully vaccinated and show proof of their full COVID-19 vaccination.

Daily Wage: $200 per day
